Naukasana or Boat Pose helps strengthen the core, arms, thighs, and shoulder muscles. It reduces extra fat accumulated around the belly. Boat pose stimulates vital abdominal organs like the pancreas, liver, and kidneys and improves digestion and absorption.
Steps:

  1. Lie down flat on the yoga mat, with feet kept together and arms by the sides, palms facing up, fingers outstretched towards the toes.
  2. Inhale a deep breath and exhaling, lift the chest and feet off the ground, stretching the arms towards the feet. As the abdominal muscles contract, feel the tension in the stomach area.
  3. Rest the weight of the body entirely on the buttocks. Make sure the eyes, fingers, and toes are all in one line. Hold your breath and remain in this position for a few seconds.
  4. Slowly exhale and bring the body to the starting position. Relax for some time. Repeat 3 to 4 times.
    Pregnant or menstruating women, people having asthma, high blood pressure, migraine, spine issues should avoid this asana.
