Garlic offers much more than a pungent and sharp taste. It is full of good-for-health vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants including allicin. Garlic boosts the immune system and helps body fight and resists infections. It has antiseptic, antimicrobial actions and reduces the severity and length of cold and flu symptoms. Eating one or two raw garlic cloves helps regulate blood pressure. It is also known to be useful in lowering bad cholesterol levels. These actions make it highly beneficial for heart. Garlic’s antioxidants and antibacterial properties can clear up skin by killing acne-causing bacteria. If you are not comfortable eating raw garlic due to its taste, I have a tip for you. Just roast the cloves in a cooking pan for 30-40 seconds and that sharpness will go down from garlic. Please note that you don’t have to put any cooking oil etc in pan, it should only be dry roasting on medium flame.
